Fleet Review Telescope

In the early 1900s grand clifftop and beach homes would be considered incomplete without an impressive brass and wood telescope on the balcony to view the ships sailing past – and the originals are now expensive collectors’ pieces. Our realistically-priced reproduction is specially made for us by a former colonial manufacturer who is still producing them for his home market.

The elegant styling makes it highly desirable, but at the same time functional, magnifying 25 times with an object lens of 45mm. Focusing is by fi nger-tip twist control, from about 40 yards to infinity.

The sheesham wood (similar in appearance and feel to teak) tripod has solid brass fittings and is height adjustable on each leg to compensate for uneven surfaces.

Brass barrel length 1m, tripod height adjustable from approx. 110 to 180cm.
